“Summer Breeze”
The pictures are from my latest editorial called” Summer Breeze.” I wanted to portray it by using 3 girls for my shoot, enjoying the summer sum, thinking of their lover and just being happy and enjoying the moment.
I always wanted to show the world my mind, but I was just never sure how. I always dreamt of a world where everything was extraordinary, with a hint of fantasy and romanticism, with surreal trees and purple clouds. Photography for me began while sitting in the back seat of my cousin’s car. It was about to rain and the weather was amazing, so I started clicking pictures, and luckily the first picture I ever clicked turned out to be good. Everyone thought that its just a regular teenage phase and would go away in a month or so. But I convinced them that I want to take pictures for the rest of my life and want people to connect with my pictures and be inspired in some way. I’ve had no special training what so ever, but practiced my skill and read tutorials, spent countless hours in the library/ bookstore reading about photography. I saved money and now own a Canon 550D.
My creative journey began in 2009 with my first exhibit. During that year I submitted work for a fashion photography competition in Paris and placed 8th worldwide. My photography was displayed at Selfridges at an event supported by Jimmy Choo and the Elton John Foundation. I also won India’s first ever fashion photography competition. Since then I have had an international spread in Haute Magazine,U,S, followed by other publications including Carpaccio and Vanity Teen (Spain), Yeah (UK), Slang (Colombia), and Digital Camera. I have been included among 10 spectacular young photographers from all around the world by The Nonsense Society!
In India, people are still getting used to the whole photography scene. It’s hard, especially for young photographers like me, but I am no quitter. I want to click pictures for the rest of my life. I will work hard and use my passion to take me where I want to be.
