“Dreamers”
“This body of work explores answers to the question, “What do you want to be when you grow up?”. There is a point in all of our lives when people stop asking that question; my interest is in asking it to people who haven’t considered that question for some time. I also record audio clips of the subject talking about their dream.
“My photographic interests include portraiture and documentary photography. I also enjoy teaching unusual and historical techniques and exploring the role that photography has had in culture historically. I do a lot of commercial work shooting video and documenting artwork for other artists. Recently my artistic practice has included many different media including metalworking, woodworking, photography, digital design and fabrication, and electronics design. I expect to continue along that, though I suspect photography will always play an important role in my artistic practice.”
