“Live Love”

“The following portfolio is a small look into an ongoing collection that melds the two passions in my life; music and photography. Being a musician myself helps me to emotionally connect while shooting my subjects, as we are kindred spirits.

“I photograph a wide array of subject matter with almost all vintage equipment. My two main cameras are a Minolta x-700 and a Nikon F that was used in Vietnam. I collect antique cameras and I run a black-and-white darkroom out of my home. The only digital camera that I own is a cheap point-and-shoot, which is fun in the sense of instant gratification, but also proves my belief that you don’t have to have the latest and greatest equipment to get important, real art.

“Photographing people with a passion for what they do, whether a musician or a car mechanic is what I live for- real people in their reality is what I try to capture. I will continue to work on my personal projects with passion and dedication. My goals are to self-publish a few books, continue to show my work in galleries and build a portfolio that I could use to apply for freelance work with Rolling Stone.
