“Recollection”

Whenever someone asks you to remember a certain event or place from your past, your mind begins to scroll through numerous memories in order to recall what it is you are searching for. Those blurred, dreamlike images you see for a split second that aren’t quite an entire picture, but just small abstract pieces, those quick snapshots that you see in your mind for only a split second. Those tiny mental images are exactly what it is I’m trying to recreate with my photographs. And what better place to try and create such an image then New York City? New York, a place with so many stories and so much emotion. A place where each street means something different to each person.

More or less self taught, I allow my photographic technique to be open ended, for you never know what the next shot will call for. This approach allows me to capture different situations different ways and also continuously develop as a photographer.
