“Kaleido”
“KALEIDO” … a modern compound form made up of two Greek roots… “Kal” is beautiful and “eidos” is form.
KAL-EIDO is on going series… process of playing with negative and positive spaces … I stared this series with my forever interest of finding out forms from my pictures.
I do shoot a lot of female models for editorials, advertorials and personal shoots. These models are blessed with great shape, perfect figure, I tried to go beyond their measurement parameters and started observing it… For me they are something I create my work along, something which gives meaning to my thoughts… When I tried to go beyond their body structure I noticed some significant space around them and some more expressive, impressive shapes which had a lot hidden meaning in it… “KALEDIO” is all about those spaces, shapes and forms…
I am a fashion and advertising photographer from India. I live and work in Mumbai as a base. I have done my BFA with photography major and after that worked as an assistant to a renowned Bombay based Fashion Photographer. I am almost a year old in the industry and working as a freelance photographer.
