Gallery Photographica’s 2012 Competition is open, and the Exhibition is occurring during the National Conference of the Society for Photographic Education in San Francisco, March 22-25, 2012. The Gallery will be open on Saturday evening, March 24, as part of the optional tour offered to attendees of the SPE conference.
Important Dates:
Deadline for entries (midnight PST): January 20, 2012
Finalists and award winners announced: February 1, 2012
Opening of Exhibition and Reception: March 3, 2012
Start of SPE National Conference: March 22, 2012
Gallery open in the evening for SPE attendees, and last day of Exhibition: March 24, 2012

Location
Michelle O’Connor Gallery, 2111 Mission St., San Francisco, California: Exhibition is occurring during the National Conference of the Society for Photographic Education in San Francisco, March 22-25, 2012. The Gallery will be open on Saturday evening, March 24, as part of the optional tour offered to attendees of the SPE conference.
Fees:
$45 for first three images; $10 for each additional image
Eligibility:
Residents of all countries are eligible to register. The Competition is open to everyone except where prohibited by law.
Requirements

Accepted artists can ship or deliver framed prints, or can have us provide archival printing and framing.
Awards
1st place: $3,000
2nd place: $2,000
3rd place: $1,000
Considerations:
Entries will be jiried by Jeff Curto, Professor of Photography, College of DuPage, and producer of the History of Photography podcasts. Curto sits on the national board of the Society for Photographic Education
