LEICA CAMERA AG OFFERS FREE FIRMWARE UPDATES TO THE
LEICA DIGITAL MODUL-R

July 20, 2007 - Leica Camera AG announced today that it will provide a free firmware update for the LEICA DIGITAL MODUL-R on its website www.leica-camera.com <http://www.leica-camera.com/> .  The new firmware, Version 1.3, offers extensive improvements in the performance of Leica’s SLR digital/film hybrid system.
 
The new firmware for the LEICA DIGITAL MODUL-R optimizes the coloring on the Digital Modul-R display screen, enhanced adjustment of exposure and improved compatibility of SD cards with FAT 32 system/ 4 GB cards. The update will also increase general image reproduction and functional features.
