Epson certifies three Hahnemuhle papers
for its Digigraphie® Program
Woodstock, IL June 27, 2007 Epson has approved
three Fine Art inkjet papers from the worldwide leading
Hahnemuhle Digital FineArt Collection for its Digigraphie®
program in France. Photo Rag® 308, Photo Rag® Satin
310 and Museum Etching 350 are genuine artists' papers with
a premium inkjet coating from Hahnemuhle. They distinguish
themselves from other papers due to their extreme age resistance
and are therefore ideal for the long-lasting FineArt prints
in the Epson Digigraphie® program.
With its Digigraphie® program Epson allows
artists to create limited, authenticated and certified editions
of fine art prints. The prints must be produced using Ultrachrom
or Ultrachrom K3 inks on professional Epson printers using
papers specially designed for the Digigraphie® program.
The main criterion for including the Hahnemuhle
papers in the Epson Digigraphie® program: the age resistance
of the papers and the corresponding longevity of the prints
using the pigmented Epson inks. The Wilhelm Research Institute
(WRI) in the USA regularly tests the light fastness of the
inks of leading printer manufacturers such as Epson, HP
and Canon on Hahnemuhle Digital FineArt papers. The WRI
certifies the pure natural papers an archival stability
of between 60 and more than 200 years - depending on storage
and presentation and depending on the inks used.
Photo Rag® 308, Photo Rag® Satin
310 and Museum Etching 350 are all genuine artists' papers
from the Hahnemuhle Digital FineArt Collection that are
ideal for fine art prints with a third and fourth dimension.
The traditional production process and the premium inkjet
coating guarantee a unique look to the fine art prints.
Photo prints and art reproductions on Hahnemuhle Digital
FineArt papers possess a 3-D impression due to the unique
depth of the image and their huge color gamut. The unique
feel of the pure cotton rag paper elevates the sensuousness
and emotion of the prints to a fourth dimension.
The selection of Hahnemuhle papers for the
Epson Digigraphie® program offers discerning artists
papers in a white tone (Photo Rag® 308), a natural white
tone (Museum Etching 350) and a semi-gloss surface (Photo
Rag® Satin 310).
