Is New Zealand on your list of places to photograph?
It’s an ideal destination for American photographers, offering
a pleasant climate, hospitable people, a common language, moderate
prices, and plenty of photographic opportunities.
Non-stop flights from mainland United States take
approximately 12 hours, landing at Auckland, New Zealand’s
largest city. I prefer to fly to Christchurch right away, attracted
by the mountains, glaciers, rain forests, and sparse population
of the south island, home to nine of the region’s 13 national
parks.
